Η «μεγάλη πόρνη» του Βιβλίου της Αποκάλυψης παρουσιάζεται στο κεφάλαιο 17:
1 Και ήρθε ένας από τους επτά αγγέλους που είχαν τα επτά φιαλίδια, και μίλησε μαζί μου, λέγοντάς μου, έλα εδώ. Θα σου δείξω την κρίση της μεγάλης πόρνης που κάθεται σε πολλά νερά:
2 Με τους οποίους οι βασιλιάδες της γης έχουν πορνεύσει, και οι κάτοικοι της γης έχουν μεθύσει από το κρασί της πορνείας της.
3 Έτσι με παρέσυρε με το πνεύμα στην έρημο· και είδα μια γυναίκα να κάθεται πάνω σε ένα κόκκινο θηρίο, γεμάτο ονόματα βλασφημίας, που είχε επτά κεφάλια και δέκα κέρατα.
4 Και η γυναίκα ήταν ντυμένη με πορφυρό και κόκκινο χρώμα, και στολισμένη με χρυσάφι και πολύτιμες πέτρες και μαργαριτάρια, έχοντας στο χέρι της ένα χρυσό ποτήρι γεμάτο αηδίες και ακαθαρσίες της πορνείας της.
5 Και στο μέτωπό της ήταν γραμμένο ένα όνομα, ΜΥΣΤΗΡΙΟ, ΒΑΒΥΛΩΝΑ Η ΜΕΓΑΛΗ, ΜΗΤΕΡΑ ΤΩΝ ΠΟΡΝΩΝ ΚΑΙ ΤΩΝ ΒΔΗΜΙΩΝ ΤΗΣ ΓΗΣ.
6 Και είδα τη γυναίκα μεθυσμένη από το αίμα των αγίων και από το αίμα των μαρτύρων του Ιησού· και όταν την είδα, απόρησα με μεγάλο θαυμασμό.
9 Και εδώ είναι ο νους που έχει σοφία. Τα επτά κεφάλια είναι επτά βουνά, πάνω στα οποία κάθεται η γυναίκα.
10 Και είναι επτά βασιλιάδες: πέντε πέφτουν, και ο ένας είναι, και ο άλλος δεν έχει έρθει ακόμη. και όταν έρθει, πρέπει να συνεχίσει ένα μικρό διάστημα.
11 Και το θηρίο που ήταν και δεν είναι, αυτός είναι ο όγδοος, και είναι από τους επτά, και πηγαίνει σε απώλεια.
12 Και τα δέκα κέρατα που είδες είναι δέκα βασιλιάδες, που δεν έχουν λάβει ακόμη βασιλεία. αλλά λάβετε εξουσία ως βασιλιάδες μια ώρα με το θηρίο.

THE GREAT WHORE OF BABYLON
TNDL: "Babylon is falling, is falling, the great whore of babylon; revelation 17-18. So, who or what is this evil whore of babylon? She is the evil religious, political system. But, he, michael, the new the new divine logos or word of god most high, will destroy the woman, the whore, the politcial evil and wicked system that has been ruling over all nations of the earth. However, the lord jehovah, the most high, is calling out his people to come of her and be not partakers of her sins and abominations, because the judment of the most high is coming on this evil great harlot of revelation 17 - 18." The "great whore" of the Book of Revelation is featured in chapter 17:
1 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:
2 With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.
3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.
4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:
5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
6 And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.
9 And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.
10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he comes, he must continue a short space.
11 And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goes into perdition.
12 And the ten horns which thou saw are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.
15 And he said unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.
18 And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigns over the kings of the earth.
